I bought a new laptop and bought the sims 2, the sims 2 University,The sims 2 Glamour Life, The Sims 2 Seasons and The Sims 2 Apartment Life. My game loads on okay, works great, about an hour later, my laptop lets out a kind of gasp and shuts down, and I have to start it up again. It doesn't even have a message coming up ! My uncle uses this laptop because he fishes and he has lots of fishing pictures and fishing documents, could that be clogging up the system? My game crashes about once every day, and sometimes just even ten minutes into playing. I'm not sure what's wrong, because the laptop is brand new? What should I do? Any help is appreciated, thank you :)

Hi there! When I read your question, I think the problem is not the game but the problem is your laptop. if game loads on okay but about an hour later the laptop lets out a kind of gasp and shuts down, I think there is too much heat in your laptop. In my experience, computer will automatically shutdown if too much heat to prevent any damage on the hardware but there also can be caused by virus or incompatible device driver too. try this, dont open any application when you play the game and buy a fan designed to cooling down laptop. dont forget to scan your computer for viruses and check the latest driver for your laptop. that is my suggestion,I hope it can help you. good luck --Wir.wiryawan 18:54, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so much! I did notice that the laptop was very hot when I touched it, but I didn't know that caused problems. Thank you so much! :)
