It's stated on Specter Family that various Sims with the last name 'Spector' actually belong to the Specter family itself. Is there anything within the games themselves to suggest this? If not, I'd suggest treating the Specter and Spector families as being separate. -- LostInRiverview ^{talk ~ blog} 01:43, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

Since there aren't anything that might suggest the two families are related to each other (except their dark skin tones), I'll have to agree that we should treat them as a separate family. --Frostwalker ^{Talk to me!} 01:50, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

I think when Lunar Lakes was announced, there were rumors saying that the Specter family would return, only it turned out to be Spector. But I didn't remember where to find the talk, and I'm not sure if there's any good evidence to prove they're the same Specter with typo. However, it's a bit strange if Olive Specter, spelled correctly, returned in Midnight Hollow, while another Spector family returned in Oasis Landing.

It could be that the Store team and ITF team were different, and only the Store team realized the correct spelling. Or, they could simply be totally different families. I'm in favor to separate them if there's no concrete evidence. Nikel _{Talk – Vote!} 15:52, October 28, 2013 (UTC)

Or maybe, Ichabod has a brother we don't see on the family tree, and this brother's son or grandson changed the spelling to Spector. A few generations later we have Noela and Planchette who are twins or at least siblings and embark on the Perigee when they're young. Planchette dies on the Perigee cuz of a locked door, and then gets resurrected. While Noela ends up living alone in Lunar Lakes and becomes a "lone wolf and a free spirit".
