So, our wiki has had a very good relationship with Erry, who has designed our current wiki logo (File:Wiki-wordmark.png), as well as our fanon namespace logo and our "seasonal" or "special" logos. Certainly we could ask him directly if he'd like to design something for The Sims 4, but I think we might want to head in a different direction.

Specifically, I wonder if maybe we should hold a contest, to allow users to submit their own logo ideas. Any user (including Erry) would be welcome to submit their designs, and there would be a community vote on selecting our favorite. This way, we don't show favoritism towards one user, but give everyone equal opportunity to be able to design the logo. Perhaps, we could also ask the submitters if they would be willing and able to provide updates to the logo from time to time, for holidays, game releases, etc.

I want to just repeat, Erry has done a great job with the logo, and has been very cooperative with us as we've thought of logo re-designs. It's simply an idea to engage the community and give everyone a chance to try.

Good idea, I think it wouldn't hurt to start this as early as possible. Let us do whatever it takes to prepare all the things for next year when TS4 is about to release.
