Inspired by AltHistory Wiki's Map Game Concept

Welcome to Dominate, a game of survival that revolves around the concept of, well, dominating all other players.

The basic idea is that you play as a person living in a certain world, using money, alliances, crime and everything else you think of to ensure the survival of yourself or your family lineage. This is a text game, though, so don't worry about actually creating the person in-game.

Setting: Sunset Valley

Day 0 - Purchasing houses[edit source]

Refer to list of empty Sunset Valley lots to purchase your house. Once all players have bought their houses, the map will be created.

  • Jason Bourne: Jason purchases Shotgun Style (furnished) for §16,271, leaving him with §3,729. He chooses not to take a loan from the Bank.
  • Claude-Achille Lorraine: CA purchases The Monotone (furnished) for §16,230, leaving him with §3,770. He chooses not to take a loan from the Bank.
  • Kana Alabaster: Kana purchases Prefabulous (furnished) for §12,675, leaving her with §7,325. She also isn't taking loan from the Bank (she does not care about money).
  • Evelina Dattilo: Evelina purchases Unabridged (furnished) then her rich parents give her more money
    • MOD: For first Sims, parents may not assist your Sim in any way whatsoever. If you wish to buy a house that is not within your budget, you must take a loan from the bank. The Bank will expect completion of payments in instalments of §10,000 every four days. Therefore, payments will be completed in 59 days. If you fail to initiate payments in four days time, the price of the loan will be increased by 1.5. You can decrease this amount by declaring that a portion of the house price was covered by your own funds (you must say how much you have payed as well.) You may at this point choose another house if you think that you will be unable to cover the loan.

NEW MOON — 7 DAYS REMAIN IN SUMMER

Let the games begin!

  • Claude-Achille: CA joins the Science career as a Test Subject with a pay of §44/hr. He shows up for his first day of work immediately after he registers. He decides to socialise during the lunch break in the hope of meeting some friends. He earns §242.
    • RNG: 8. CA meets a few friends at work. He has yet to remember their names, though!
  • Jason: Jason joins the Military career track as a Latrine Cleaner with a pay of §40/hr. Because of his sickness he gets an unpaid day off.
  • Kana: Kana joins the Alchemist profession and takes a class in Alchemy. She plants her lv. 1 Alchemy plants in the garden, and then goes to the Supernatural Consignment Store to level up her Alchemy skill a bit more. She reaches level 4, then returns home and goes back to sleep.
    • RNG: 10. Kana has a wonderful dream which inspires her. She wakes up the next day feeling purposeful with fresh ideas on how to proceed with her career.

Day 2[edit source]

WAXING CRESCENT — 6 DAYS REMAIN IN SUMMER

Kana: She wakes up, waters the plants in her garden, and goes again to the alchemy store to level up her alchemy skill to level 9. She goes back home to harvest the produce, and gains 1 in Gardening skill as well as the initial gardening plants, and plants them, too. Then goes back again to the alchemy store and goes up to Level 10 of the skill, just before going to sleep.

  • RNG: 4. Oh dear. When Kana wakes up the next morning, she finds that two of her plants have died for some reason. Oh well, no matter.
  • COMMENT: I find it somewhat a bit unnatural to jump from level 4 to level 10 in a single day, but I'll leave that for WikiBuilder to judge.

Jason: Jason is not sick anymore. He wants to impress the boss by inviting him over. He cooks some salmon and he earns 3 cooking skills. He hopes the boss gives him a bonus for the beautiful dinner. Or maybe it's a huge disaster? 

  • RNG: 8. Jason's cooking has paid off! The boss decides to reward him for the meal and gives him a little bonus. Jason earns half of the pay that he missed yesterday.

CA: CA decides to go to the pool for a little swim after a hard day at work (being a test subject hardly is a cakewalk) to fit in some exercise and a bit of relaxation into his day before going home and doing some research. He's not really that great at swimming though.

  • RNG: 5. CA gets into a little bit of trouble involving the pool pump, but other than that everything is fine. He goes home, does his research and goes to bed without further incident.

Day 3[edit source]

WAXING GIBBOUS — 5 DAYS REMAIN IN SUMMER

CA: CA decides to take a risk and perform an unauthorised experiment. He's hoping that, with any luck, he'll manage to get some exciting results and then he'll get a hefty pay rise!

  • RNG: 10. What luck! The experiment is a jaw-dropping success! CA is immediately promoted and given a pay rise when he shows the results to his boss!

Jason: Jason is walking in the city and his eye has fallen on a golden ring. He picks it up and goes to a expert. He hopes it's a golden ring that can make him rich. Or it's just fake. Or maybe even stolen. He takes the risk....

  • RNG: 4. It turns out to be a 4 karat ring (tl;dr: has some gold but basically fake), so the ring was much less valuable than what it seemed like. While not completely worthless, it ended up not generating any profit after expert fee was considered.

Kana: Kana puts the dead plants in the trashcan, tends garden, harvest the other plants, and goes in the library to read a book or two about gardening skill. She ends up reaching level 6 in it. Then she goes home to sleep. 

  • RNG: 5. Rushing through weeding process means the weeds came back sooner than usual.

Day 4[edit source]

FULL MOON — 4 DAYS REMAIN IN SUMMER

CA: CA begins his first day of work as a Lab Assistant! He now earns §322 a day! He also got a bonus of §644 from his promotion. He helps his head scientist do an experiment involving chemicals which could be somewhat explosive...hmm. Better be careful. That night he transforms and decides to go out hunting.

  • RNG: 7. Phew. The chemicals didn't explode. Thank goodness. CA writes the results down but the calculations just end up producing more questions. Oh well.

Jason: Jason has a day off. First he plays Sims 2 and watches his favorite weekly TV show and goes to bed at 1 AM.

CA: CA works extra hard at the lab today, hoping that he'll get a promotion soon. After work, CA and Jamie go for another date. They decide to go watch a movie.

  • RNG: 7. Nothing really happens. Oh well. CA will just have to try harder next time.
  • RNG: 9. The date goes smoothly, and the movie was awesome! CA and Jamie were constantly kept at the edge of their seats while simultaneously stuffing popcorn down their gullets. Their relationship deepens significantly!

Jason: Jason stays at home the whole day. Because he's sick. But the doctor diagnosed him and he should be feeling better tomorrow.

CA: CA works extra-extra hard at the lab today, in the hope that he won't get burnout and that he'll get promoted.

  • RNG: 10. His hard work doesn't go unnoticed today! CA is promoted and gets a raise of [amount here]. Also, he scores a bonus of [amount here]!

Jason: Jason goes to a nightclub. He got drunk and he drives home... It's also very dark oustide.

  • RNG3. Oh dear. Jason crashes the car and ends up in hospital. Miss one turn.
