I Disagree with Sims 3 being a prequel(4 year player)

The Sims 3 should not be a prequel.I may be in the wrong but I disagree.There are so many gaps and holes in the plot story line.

1)Mortimer and Bella they are the same age? i thought Mortimer was older than Bella?

2)what happens to our sims if its a prequel? are they did in the start of the Sims or the Sims 2(guest guessing you have adults and etc.

3)IS Sunset Valley just Pleasentview but in the previous time? And can i add up the Storyline togther or not.

The Sims 3, as a whole, is not a prequel. Certain neighborhoods take place before The Sims and The Sims 2. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 06:52, October 19, 2014 (UTC)

It was probably planned to be a prequel with each neighborhood set at a different time before The Sims and The Sims 2. But then they got a bit carried away and decided to have events being taken place at any random time in the storyline, as seen with most of the neighborhoods now. And about Bella and Mortimer Goth, I prefer to think they are the same age, but because Bella was abducted shortly before she became an elder, it stopped her aging process or something.
