Many people theorize Michael Bachelor and who his family is. Let's talk about that, post your theories below mine.
So, let's start from the beginning: \(*O*)/ OH MY GOODNESS, A DINOSAUR! Not that far...
The Sims 1 - Goth Family (Goth. Sr family and Michael Bachelor explained too) Obviously, because of the technology they had when they made The Sims 1, it was not "totally awesome" it was more "okay" so family trees were practically non-existent. As families had the same last names in their households (e.g. The Goth Family all had Goth as their last name (Bella Goth, Cassandra Goth, Mortimer Goth) which points to signs that they are a fully related family) they could be related, but not "programmed into the game files" related, so still, Bella and Mortimer were supposedly married and had their child Cassandra. Only until 'The Sims Unleashed' was "unleashed", the Goth. Sr (Mortimer's parents) were introduced living in the Old Town over the bridge of the Neighborhood (1). But because of the non-existent family trees, they weren't (technically) genetically related to Mortimer or any of the other Goth's. Also Mortimer, Bella and Cassandra were one of the first families to be introduced in The Sims 1 and had no other relatives (or so Maxis says), Gunther and Cornelia were not existing until Unleashed and (logically) had no genetic relations with Mortimer. But... the plot thickens.
Michael Bachelor - He was said to have just left college/university, so if he was related to Bella Goth, he would have been younger than her (even though he is a teen when Bella is a child in The Sims 3). Michael Bachelor was never said to be genetically related to Bella Goth in any way, some people may disagree (because he has the same skin-tone and dark hair similar to Bella) but his facial appearance is supposedly/could be from Asian heritage (you can see this if you look at his head in The Sims 1), although Bella does not look the same/similar in facial shape. As far as I have seen/heard in The Sims 1, Bella and Michael are not related (but become related due to Maxis changing things around in The Sims 2 & 3). My theory is that Michael may have gone to college/university at an older age after deciding to go, but he could have either (because on his biography in The Sims 1) left/dropped out of college/university because of stress maybe? And also, if he was related to Bella Goth (if my theory is supposedly true) then he would have been older in The Sims 1. But wait.... what about Dina and all that jazz? Don't worry, I haven't forgotten. But let me just say this. Michael/Bella could have been adopted by either family (whether Bella's parents were Jocasta and Simis, or Michael's parents were Jocasta and Simis) so Bella or Michael could (either) have been adopted, supposedly Bella because she is younger.
Dina Caliente (Bachelor: Late Marriage (aka) Widowed) - In The Sims 2, you can see (on Dina's memories and photo album) that she got married to Michael Bachelor who was (in The Sims 2) Bella Goth's brother. Dina is still called by the last name Caliente because Michael died just after their marriage and so, therefore, she has that name. Bella is still alive in The Sims 2, I have resurrected her successfully without mods (but cheats instead) and had her live the rest of life 'til death. Her icon is lit on the family tree so that means she is still alive, but she does not age (she has a dead token according to SimPE, but its not fully active and ghosts/dead sims do not age, because they're dead). Mortimer is roughly around the same age as Bella and she is supposedly younger than Michael because he died of old age, but in her memories (if I remember right) she does not have a memory of Michael dying. She must have been abducted before Michael got married to Dina (as she does not have a memory of the marriage either). Family memories before her abduction are the only ones I can remember her having (if not, let me know please). Because of the two Michael Bachelor's in the game, they can't BOTH be related to Bella so only one of them is and if I remember correctly (again), one Michael was Dina's husband (who is a ghost, in his urn, on the coffee table, in the living room of the Caliente house) and the other was Bella's brother, they both related as their coding (referenced from SimPE) was the same "nearly" or very similar with some minor changes between the both of them (such as the personality points and the aspiration, skin-tone and faces etc.)
Before this turns into "The Mystery of Michael Bachelor - and other stories" I will stop here and see if you guys can conclude the mystery behind Michael and Bella? AnotherZebra34 (talk) 21:35, January 11, 2016 (UTC)
