Forum:Who is the true father of Brandi Broke's sons?
As many of you are aware, there are two versions of Skip Broke. But which one is real and which is not is quite debatable because one Skip appears in the storytelling images, while the other one appears in the family tree - and is also resurrectable.
My theory is that the original Skip Broke, the one that can't be resurrected is the true father of Dustin and Beau, as the developers presumably wanted to make Skip Broke resurrectable, but the character data of the original Skip Broke had already been deleted.
Strangely, while the original Skip Broke has light blue eyes, and Brandi Broke has grey eyes, Dustin and Beau both have dark blue eyes. Also Dustin and Beau have blonde hair, when they would otherwise have inherited Brandi's black hair, over Skip's blonde hair. This is partly due to the fact that most of the base game Sims were created separately, and not generated through genetic gameplay.
A close examination reveals that Brandi's face was created using the 1st face template in Create a Sim. The original Skip's face was created using the 2nd face template. Dustin's face was created using the 13th face template, the eyes use the 3rd face template, and the nose uses the 10th face template. And Beau's face was created using the 27th face template, the eyebrows use the 2nd face template, the nose uses the 1st face template, and the mouth uses the 4th face template.
The resurrectable Skip Broke has green eyes, a narrower face, and the nose from the 26th face template. But that aside, I consider the resurrectable Skip to be the true father of Brandi Broke's third son, because the original Skip was deleted prior to release, and thus would not have been able to father Brandi's third son.
But then of course, Brandi's third son only inherits Brandi's genetics, and is always male, because the resurrectable Skip's genetic file is unlinked. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:28, September 17, 2015 (UTC)
I believe that the green-eyed Skip is the real version, with the blue eyed one being a prototype. One reason for replacing him could be that the blue eyed Skip was too generic facially, and since there were no ways of altering Sims post-Create-A-Sim, they deleted his files and created a more unique version. It could also be that EAxis simply forgot deleting Skip, as it is very plausible that many characters were represented by prototypes for the family photos, and that they for some reason missed Skip.
This theory can be supported, I believe, by looking closely at the neighborhood photos. Patrizio Monty, for example uses a completely different face template on the Veronaville splash screen. Mortimer Goth also seems to go through several different faces on the Pleasantview photos, as does Skip's own wife Brandi. Øôppdëckš 12:39, December 28, 2015 (UTC)
I honestly feel they made one version of Skip, the blue version and put memories of him in the album but before the game was released they accidentally deleted him and when they remade him they forgot to give him blue eyes instead giving him green eyes and made his face narrower, which explains why blue eyed Skip is in the album and is non-resurrectable as he was scrapped from the game entirely and green eyed Skip is in the game due to the fact that he is replacement Skip with the wrong eyes and face.
