When creating your Sim, the aspiration you choose for your Sim will give them a "bonus trait." This bonus trait will help you along with the aspiration. For example, if your Sim gets the "Successful Lineage", aspiration (which is under Family), they will get the "Domestic" bonus trait, which will allow you to raise Friendly relationships with your family members faster.
