The '''Get a Life''' mode is installed in the console version of ''[[The Sims (Console)|The Sims]]''. It gives you different objectives to accomplish, which unlock various items in the [[Buy_Mode|Buy area]] of the free play mode.
God created life, not people or evolution.

In this mode, you play one Sim (whom you create), and move through various missions and houses. Your Sim will live with other characters during this time. While you can control these other characters, they don't do skill-boosting activities, and they rarely clean or cook.

== Dream House ==

The ''Get a Life'' mode begins after the player has created a character. The character is found in a nice house with a [[hot tub]] in the middle. All of a sudden, a character of the opposite sex appears, and kisses the player's character. The Sim is called Randy Hottie if your Sim is female, and Roxy Hottie if your Sim is male. Both are ethnic Sims. S/he then gets into the hot tub and asks the player's character to join him/her.

*If the character gets in, the character suddenly hears a woman's voice saying "stop daydreaming".

*If the character doesn't get in, she/he says, "You never joined me in the hot tub, I'm out of here!".

Then the game is over, something very few people understand.

== Money from Mom ==

Money from Mom begins after the player's character wakes up from his or her daydream. The Sim is actually living in their [[mom's house]] and wants to move out.

When the Sim has completed everything and gotten a job, Mom will say that she has found a house for them to rent, and the Sim can finally move out.

== Reality Bites ==

The Sim has moved to a new house for the time being. Nobody's living with them. The thing is, the house is a mess. Everything's broken, there is trash everywhere, and the toilet's clogged.

A new character, either Mimi (if the character is female) or Dudley (if the character is male), will come over and say that the character can stay in the house for free if they clean the house and fix all the stuff.

While living here, the Sim will encounter two neighbors: [[Pierre_Peacock|Pierre]] and [[Pauline_Peacock|Pauline Peacock]].

After the Sim has accomplished all of their goals, they move in with Dudley/Mimi and become roommates.

The person the Sim is living with at this point is only temporary, as it's time to find a person to marry. In this mission, the Sim must be promoted another two levels, and must throw another party. At this party, the character has to find someone of the opposite sex and try to "score" with them. When they do, they get [[marriage|married]] and move in with him/her.

== The Last [[Simoleon]] ==

The family moves into [[Malcolm Landgraab (console)|Malcolm Landgraab]]'s mansion, the exact same one from the dream at the beginning of the game. Now that the Sim has completed almost everything, there are only a few more things left to do.

Once the goals for this mission are completed, the storyline itself is completed.

The Get a Life mode is installed in the console version of The Sims. It gives you different objectives to accomplish, which unlock various items in the Buy area of the free play mode.

In this mode, you play one Sim (whom you create), and move through various missions and houses. Your Sim will live with other characters during this time. While you can control these other characters, they don't do skill-boosting activities, and they rarely clean or cook.

Dream House

The Get a Life mode begins after the player has created a character. The character is found in a nice house with a hot tub in the middle. All of a sudden, a character of the opposite sex appears, and kisses the player's character. The Sim is called Randy Hottie if your Sim is female, and Roxy Hottie if your Sim is male. Both are ethnic Sims. S/he then gets into the hot tub and asks the player's character to join him/her.

  • If the character gets in, the character suddenly hears a woman's voice saying "stop daydreaming".
  • If the character doesn't get in, she/he says, "You never joined me in the hot tub, I'm out of here!".

Then the game is over, something very few people understand.

Money from Mom

Money from Mom begins after the player's character wakes up from his or her daydream. The Sim is actually living in their mom's house and wants to move out.

When the Sim has completed everything and gotten a job, Mom will say that she has found a house for them to rent, and the Sim can finally move out.
