The garden plot is an object that allows Sims to plant seeds and grow produce. The Sims introduced two plots, which can be found in Build Mode -> Plant Tool: the Insta-plot Victory Garden from The Sims: Unleashed, which can grow farming produce; and As the Plot Thickens garden from The Sims: Makin' Magic, which grows berries. The garden plot returned in The Sims 2 as the Pleasant Earth Dit, which can be found under Build mode -> Garden Center -> Gardening . While it is still possible to garden in The Sims 3, garden plots are no longer required, since you can plant seeds anywhere in a Sims yard

This plot is the only plot your personal ever-growing story will ever need. The tale begins with you going out to your local purveyor of fine grape vines or berry bushes; then continues with your return home to plant your seedlings. The climax comes after carefully trending to the plot, when all your grape and berry problems are resolved and tied up in a neat and convenient manner.
