Giving Gifts is a feature introduced in The Sims 2: Seasons. In order to give a gift, a Sim must have something in their inventory, such as a souvenir or cell phone. The Sim that is receiving the gift may reject it, and that counts as a negative in the relationship. Most of the time, a Sim will accept the gift, which will boost the relationship. Sims are more likely to want to give a gift during Winter.
