Glarn was [[abducted]] by an [[alien]] pollination technician (later known as [[Pollination Tech 9 Smith|Pollination Tech#9 Smith]]) and gave birth to twin girls [[Chloe Singles|Chloe]] and [[Lola Singles|Lola]]. He later married [[Kitty Curious|Kitty Hogleg]] and with her had four [[Sim]] children: daughter [[Jenny Smith|Jenny]], and sons [[Pascal Curious|Pascal]], [[Vidcund Curious|Vidcund]], and [[Lazlo Curious|Lazlo]]. His daughter would later go on to marry her father's abductor and have two children by him; at the start of the game, they are Glarn's only grandchildren. According to his children's memories, he died shortly before his son, [[Pascal Curious]], was abducted by aliens.

When Chloe and Lola were born, Glarn abandoned them, while [[Glabe Curious|Glabe]] raised and took care of them. Originally, it was unknown who Glabe was, as she didn't appear in the family tree, and no memories explained her connection to the family, since she shares her surname with the Curious family. On looking at the photo album where Glabe cried on the twins' birth, one can see Glabe wearing a wedding ring, so it was assumed that Glabe was Glarn's ex-wife. The reason for their divorce is unknown, but it could be related to the twins. Examining Glarn's Sim DNA in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]] indicates that his hair was black before it turned grey. Also according to his age information, he had 23 days left before dying of old age. His facial structure is very similar, if not identical to that of [[Jonathan Ternynck]].

He has had more children than anyone else in the entire series: a total of six, two of them via alien abduction, although this is debatable in the case of [[Jon Smith Tricou]], who was shipped with ''[[The Sims 2: Nightlife]]''. There is a picture in the Curious family photo album in which Glarn is carrying one of the twins, and the other one is on the floor. In that picture, Glarn is pregnant, but both of his daughters are born. He wears the same outfit as [[Patrizio Monty]].
