Her parents were [[Leif Halfdanarson]] and [[Ingibjorg Halfdanarson]]. During her life, she resided in [[Strangetown]], one of the three neighborhoods[[neighborhood]]s that shipped with the game.

According to Gundrun's SimDNA in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]] she had brown hair before it turned grey. Although she has brown eyes in her thumbnail, her genetics are for grey eyes. The reason for this is because she has a corrupted face. Gundrun also bears a faint resemblance to [[Violene Sutter]], a former resident of [[Riverblossom Hills]]. She and her family might have Icelandic and Swedish roots.. According to her age data in SimPE, she had 32 days left in the [[elder]] [[life stage]] when she died.
