It looks like the hermit has been living alone inside the Deep Woods with little or no sim contact the hermit took an interest in gardening as she/he owns a garden that always includes tomatoes blackberries and other plants. The hermit might also be skilled in fishing as there is a pond nearby and wood crafting as there is a wood crafting station just outside the house
