Ice cream maker

The ice cream maker is an object introduced in The Sims 3 Store and The Sims 4: Cool Kitchen Stuff.

Sims can create ice cream, gelato, and soft serve, and add several toppings to their creations. Thirty flavors can be created using the machine, including some which can bestow special abilities.^[1]

Established in 1995, the Kane's^[sic] rocketed in popularity to become a household name synonymous with delicious frozen treats. While their public perception waned in 2011 due to an unfortunate incident where one of the company's truck drivers developed an unhealthy obsession with a customer; the home sales side of their business remains as strong as ever. One bite and you'll agree!

The Ice Cream Maker returned in The Sims 4: Cool Kitchen Stuff. It is the gameplay feature of the stuff pack and includes 30 new flavors, 8 toppings and 10 garnishes.

With this object, Sims can create cartons of ice cream. The cartons appear in the Sim's inventory, and can be placed in the world. Ice cream can be served in bowls or cones, and Sims can add toppings or garnishes if they wish. Ice cream fulfills a Sim's hunger need and can sometimes give a cool moodlet.

Some types of ice cream Sims can make have an effect on them. Some types of ice cream can help a Sim gain or lose weight or temporarily give them the ability to breathe fire like a dragon. Others can make a Sim become cold or temporarily give a Sim the appearance of a PlantSim.

If The Sims 4: Dine Out is installed, all the ice cream recipes from this object can be served in restaurants as dessert.
