Interactions are a certain limited act which you can do on other objects or people. Interactions with objects are usually related to the object's use, however, downloading certain hacks, mods, or using certain cheats might increase the number of interactions of an object, or even creating interactions which has no relation with the object.

Interactions with people are dependent on their level of relationship and life stages which have their own special interactions.

There are three different types of interactions: One-Time, Timed and Endless.

  • One-Time: The interaction is performed once. Most interactions between Sims are of this type.
  • Timed: The interaction is performed until the task is complete. Usually chores but also Chess and Pool games are of this type.
  • Endless: The interaction is performed endlessly until the related motive reaches maximum, or another motive needs to be tended. Most fun and skill building activities are of this type.
