Klara is 72 hours away from the final exam in her first semester, when she and her roommates are moved into a household or lot. Like several other [[Sim]]s from La Fiesta Tech, she starts off with no [[gender preference]]. Also when viewing Klara's character file in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]] her [[zodiac sign]] is not recognized.
"Klara" is the Slavic form of the more common Latinate "Clara" spelling. Her surname seems to pun on three common German family name elements - "von", "der" and "stein" - which literally translates as "of the stone", although they were probably chosen for their familiarity rather than their meaning.
Her lastname could also be read as "Wonderstein" where "stein" refers to the real world genius Einstein, implying that she is of above average intellect (as her knowledge aspiration confirms). In fact, her name was translated to Klara Wunderstein in the German version of the game. Klara looks like a stereotypical (by her name probably Russian or German) spy with sunglasses.
