Loyal is a pet trait featured in The Sims 3: Pets. The trait is only available for dogs.

"A dog is the best friend of Sims” is a saying where there is something for sure! Loyal dogs like it, time to spend with their Sims. And they seem to learn skills more quickly than other dogs.

Attributes

• Dog will tend to follow around the Sims with whom they have the highest relationship.
• Dog will learn skills more quickly
• Dog will build relationship with family members more quickly.
• Dog will accept social interactions with Sims more often.
• Dogs with this trait would have the wish to guard the house more often, useful against burglar.
• Dogs with this trait also have a hidden atribute with the pets built-in addition version and that is they can put out a sim who is one fire saving there life and they never run away (become lost) from fire.^{[clarification needed]}
