A mirror is a type of buy mode object which raises the Room/Environment need, just as other decoration objects.

However, mirrors also have several other interactions. The most important one might be charisma training.

In the Nightlife Pack, vampires can't be seen in a mirror. But if they are married there reflection still can't be seen but wedding rings can.

In The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, this is also where you can change your Sims' hair and makeup.
