The Money Tree is an aspiration reward that was introduced in The Sims 2. The Money Tree has several ups and downs, so beware!

Ups

  • When your Sim has an aspiration of gold or higher, than your Sim will be able to harvest 40 Simoleans from the Money Tree.
  • You can use this item countless times...as long as you water it daily.
  • Money Trees are cheap in aspiration points, so if you Sim has plenty of aspiration points, you can afford plenty of Money Trees for your Sim! Just avoid pesky neighbors and water the tree daily.

Downs

  • When the Money Tree is ready for harvest, neighbors can and WILL take the money from your tree. To avoid this, keep your Money Tree locked away from other Sims.
  • When your Sim has an Aspiration of green or lower, there is a 50% chance they will only receive one simolean, during harvest.
  • If you don't water your Money Tree for a certain amount of time, it will wither away.
