Mrs. Crumplebottom is a very old-fashioned, stern, and strict woman who appears to abide by a [[wikipedia:Victorian morality|moral code from the Victorian Era]]. She detests when two Sims do any romantic interactions in public and because of that she is many times confused with [[Miss Crumplebottom]] from [[The Sims: Hot Date]] but has been revealed that Miss Crumplebottom is actually Agnes Crumplebottom and Mrs. Crumplebottom is only a distant relative. When Mrs. Crumplebottom sees any of these actions taking place on a community lot, she will promptly scold the Sims, smack them, or beat them with her purse. If a Sim innocently wanders out in his/her underwear or bathing suit, Mrs. Crumplebottom will lecture him/her until he/she changes back into his/her everyday clothes. For this reason, you do not want to make a public pool as a Downtown lot.

==Preventing the Purse==
So far, there are six (known) ways to avoid Mrs. Crumplebottom:
#Don't go out. Sims don't have to go out for a date. A nice cozy night in sounds just as good as a night out. Mrs. Crumplebottom can't come on to private property, (except by use of cheats) so Sims can show love as much as they want without being beaten with a purse, slapped, or yelled at. This will also save money because they don't need to buy a car, call a taxi, or build a garage. This is not always the best choice, especially if a Sim [[want]]s to go out.
