Mt. Komorebi

Mt. Komorebi is a world introduced in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape.[1] It is based on two Japanese islands, Honshū and Hokkaido. It features both residential lots, as well as rental lots for vacationing.[2]

Neighborhoods

Mt. Komorebi consists of three different neighborhoods. [3]

  • Wakaba: consisting of a lounge, three residential lots, and a rental lot; festivals can also be found here.
  • Senbamachi: consisting of three residential lots, a bar, and a park; the Mountain Temple, caves, the graveyard, the bamboo forest, and climbing routes can also be found here.
  • Yukimatsu: consisting of two rental lots and the Onsen Bathhouse; the Gondola, hiking trails, and Snowy Sports Slopes can also be found here.

There are 14 lots in Mt. Komorebi, including 3 rental lots, 1 bar, 1 lounge, 1 onsen bathhouse and 8 residential lots.

Trivia

  • "Komorebi" (木漏れ日) is a Japanese phrase that means "sunlight streaming through trees".
  • Mt. Komorebi is the first world in The Sims series for Sims to be able to live and vacation in, having both the residential and rental lot assignments. However, the base game patch released alongside Snowy Escape also allows Sims to vacation in any other residential world.[4]
  • According to legend, Mt. Komorebi is a sleeping dragon encased in ice and snow. In ancient times villageres used to set offerings in gratitude for home dragon provides [5]
