Petruchio Amantes is the grandfather of Hero Monty and is already deceased when you begin the game. He, like many other previously-deceased Sims, can be added to your family for a brief second through cheat codes, then vanishes. For some reason, he never remembers having a child.
Petruchio is the male lead in The Taming of the Shrew; he "tamed" Katherina, the titular character.
