Sims can get plastic surgery from the [[hospital]]. Sims can get either face or body surgery, to change their face structure, or body surgery to change their weight, muscle mass, muscle definition, and breast size, respectively. There are 46 options for the plastic surgery:
*Cheap facial beautification (§950)
*Expensive facial beautification (§2,800)
*Corrective face surgery (§2,050)
*Cheap body modification (§1,100)
*Expensive body modification (§3,250)
*Corrective body surgery (§2,275)

If the Sim goes through cheap plastic surgery, there is a 40% chance that the surgery could go wrong and they will come out with a different face or body shape that the player originally intended them to have. This, however, can be fixed for an additional sum. The chance of failed plastic surgery is lowered to 10% if the player chooses the expensive plastic surgery options.

Sims that are currently wearing a career outfit cannot get plastic surgery. If the player attempts to give them one, they will be told that the Sim has decided not to undergo surgery.

[[Alien]]s{{Vgversion|TS3:S}} cannot receive plastic surgery.
