If the Sim goes through cheap plastic surgery, there is a 40% chance that the surgery could go wrong and they will come out with a different face or body shape that the player originally intended them to have. This, however, can be fixed for an additional sum. The chance of failed plastic surgery is lowered to 10% if the player chooses the expensive plastic surgery options.
Sims that are currently wearing a career outfit cannot get plastic surgery. If the player attempts to give them one, they will be told that the Sim has decided not to undergo surgery.
