In The Sims series, potty refers to a skill that is associated with a toddler's ability to relieve his/her bladder motive through the use of a potty chair. The skill starts appearing in The Sims 2, and has appeared in all base games ever since (although it has appeared in The Sims 4 when the toddler patch was added on 12th January 12, 2017).

Without sufficient potty skills, the toddlertoddlers will still relieve his/her bladder motive with a diaper., Butbut this comes at the significant expense of his/hertheir hygiene motive. <span>However, ageing up with a low potty skill does not affect the would-be child Sim's ability to relieve his/her bladder motive with a standard toilet.</span>

In The Sims 2, A Toddler Can Be Trained By A Teen As Well As A Elder By Cliking On The Potty And Pressing ‘Potty Train <toddler name>’. This Can’t Be Done If The Bladder Need Is Green And The Potty Needs To Be Empty. If The Bladder Need Is Red Or Green But The Potty Is Not Empty, Your Sim Can Empty It. Only A Teen, Adult Or Elder Can Do This. But It Must Be Emptied After Each Use. The Longer A Toddler Sits On The Potty, The Longer It Learns The Skill Of Pottying. Once The Toddler Has Been Trained, It Can Sit On The Potty And Use The Potty, Without Supervision, Whitch Is Very Helpful. But If The Toddler Is Left In The Crib For Too Long, The Need Will Go Down To 0 And A Teen, Adult Or Elder Will Need To Change The Nappy.
