Sim Relationships

As soon as a Sim meets another they accumulate relationship points. The amount of points two Sims have for each other and their life stages determines how they can interact. When Sims interact with each other, they build daily relationships. Over time, two Sims lifetime relationships will build up as long as they continue to interact.

Relationship Levels

  • Enemy: approx. -50 daily points or less
  • Friend/Pet Friend: approx. 60 daily points or more
  • Crush: when doing romantic interactions (kiss, flirt, etc.)
  • Best Friend/Pet Best Friend: approx. 75 daily points or more and approx. 50 lifetime points or more
  • Love: approx. 75 daily points or more when doing romantic interactions (kiss, flirt, etc.)
  • Best Friends Forever: Remain Best Friends; relationship decays slower.

Pet Relationships

Pets can also develop relationships. Pets develop relationships with Sims by doing positive interactions, such as praising, playing, or giving love. Negative relationship points are given when a Sim scolds or yells at a pet. When teaching a pet tricks, the relationship goes up and down, depending on how fast the pet learns, but in the end is higher.
