She lives with her [[Peter Ottomas|husband]], children and [[Dora Ottomas|mother in-law]]. At the start of the game, she is pregnant with [[Unborn Ottomas Twins|twins]]. Due to a bug, the twins may end up with a random and/or biologically impossible father, such as [[Brandi Broke]] and [[Patricia Wan]]. This is addressed in the [[The Sims 2: Seasons/patch|Seasons patch]].

She has the same [[Zodiac sign|sign]] and [[Aspiration]] as [[Notzo Curious]]. She is in the [[Education]] career track as an elementary school teacher.

She looks very similar to [[Dora Ottomas|Dora]], which could mean she may have been meant to be Dora's daughter instead of daughter-in-law. The reason she isn't is because, to be Samantha's mother, Dora would have to have a different last name, as Ottomas is Samantha's name only by marriage. However, in Create-A-Sim, all the family members have to have the same last name. To make things easier, the creators probably just decided to make Dora [[Peter Ottomas|Peter's]] mother. Samantha's actual parents are unknown and she has no memory of them.
