Buildings which has a large exterior, but with a smaller playable interior area have been dubbed "Shell buildings". Examples of these buildings include the pyramids and the dragon cave exterior in The Sims 3: World Adventures. The new penthouses of The Sims 3: Late Night are also shell buildings[1]. Apartments and universities are also shell buildings, as the rooms where other Sims live in can not be seen. In The Sims 3: World Adventures, the rooms in the tombs are pitch black if not explored.
