===Advancement===
The way for a self-employed Sim to advance in their career is to earn [[Simoleon]]s by making and selling objects, or performing money-making activities, that are related to that career. Obviously, a Sim cannot advance in a skill career by making and selling objects not related to it. For example, a self-employed inventorghfgnfdcaninventor can make money by making and selling sculptures, but this will not lead giddy to advancement in the Inventing career.

Horsemen(-women), earn money through equestrian competitionstgddggrcompetitions at the [[Equestrian Center]], while self-employed band members earn money by performing for tips and playing gigs.

Sometimes, depending on the career and career level, a Sim will receive a uniform for their job. This is ''not'' necessary for them to earn money, but it adds a feeling of realism tblwhto their employment.
