In Apartment Life, the slide appears to be the pool slide from The Sims 2: Seasons, modified so it does not have to be placed by a swimming pool. Unlike the pool slide, which can be used by Sims of any age other than toddlers, it cannot be used by young adults[confirmation needed], adults, or elders.

Children are the only Sims that can play on the slide. Teenagers can 'Hang Out' on the slide, but older Sims cannot do anything on the slide.
