Magic gnome: Difference between revisions

The '''Mysterious Mr. Gnome''' is a special item found in ''[[The Sims 3]]''. They are nameable, and can be stored in the [[inventory]] of a [[Sim]]. The Mysterious Mr. Gnome iscan kickable,be like any gnomekicked, but unlike a regular garden gnome, he cannot be cloned with the eyedropper tool,. andHe has a habit of sneaking around the house.

The player will never see the gnomeMysterious Mr. Gnome sneaking around, unless they are incredibly lucky. Instead, he will disappear from his current location and reappear elsewhere on the lot. He changes position on the lot at approximately 1 AM. If kicked, he falls in odd positions that are unusual for a gnome and sometimes ends up with a plaster across the bridge of his nose.

Sometimes, the Simsim will automatically walk to the new location of the Gnome. It is impossible to prevent the gnome from moving; even if walls are built around him, The Mysterious Mr. Gnome will still pop upappear anywhere on the lot. His mysterious disappearing act usually causes him to materialisematerialize next to an object (e.g. Boom boxstereo, plant, couch, washing machine). He will even interact with some objects; for example, when he appears next to T.Vs or stereos, he turns them on. (Possibly waking sleeping Sims, so watch out!) If The Magical Gnome Of Inventing appears next to a [[Scraptastic™ Workbench]] with an unfinished project on it, he will magically completemake it to 99% complete. A Sim at level 10 in the [[Science]] career can perform experiments on these gnomes. All Mysterious Mr. Gnomes sell for §1,000, although kicking the gnome can sometimes result in a decrease in value, thus making him worth only §999. It is possible to have multiple gnomes in one household. This can be accomplished by using the miner, finding them in random places and hoarding them, or by using the cheat "buydebug on" and clicking on the "misc." tab under the question mark in buy mode.
