Trigger appears to be too old to be the son of Buck. In order for this to be possible, Buck needs to be 2 days from aging up to an adult at the start of the game, and Trigger needs to be on his first day of being a teenager. But the current age gap hints that Buck and Mary-Lu had Trigger when they both were teenagers, which is not possible in the Sims 3.
