All pianos increase the playerSim's fun motive and improve the playerSim's [[creativity (skill)|creativity]] skill; as the playerSim's creativity skill increases, the quality and difficulty of music played increases as well. Both [[child]]ren and [[adult]]s can play a piano.

If this piano is placed in a [[Restaurant#The Sims|restaurant]] which uses a '''Gastronomer Restaurant Podium''', it will spawn an NPC pianist. Sims cannot play the piano while the pianist is onplaying it.
