When you're working on a page, it's better to use the "preview" button until you have it the way you want, rather than to save after each step. Dharden (talk) 22:35, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Editing other users' user pages
While The Sims Wiki talk:Policy#Editing user pages is not finalized as policy, edits to other users' user pages such as the one you made to User:Joaquinandthesim are frowned upon. This is not an official warning, but please don't do it again. Dharden (talk) 20:09, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

:That I do consider it a mistake is the reason you didn't get an official warning. As for your proposal to disable users' ability to edit other users user pages, there would be reasons not to do that even if it could be done relatively easily. One reason is that a user may give another user permission to edit their page for a specific reason, for example, to add userboxes.

:Also, part of the basic philosophy is to assume good faith on the part of users. Preventing all users from editing user pages other than their own to preempt the few who do it maliciously is to assume bad faith.
