[[Ogg Vorbis]] and midi are the only audio formats enabled by default on Wikia. These files function similarly to image files in that they show up in the same categories. To embed an audio file on an article simply add it as you would with an image: <code><nowiki>[[File:Audio file.ogg]]</nowiki></code>.

 

For placing audio files inline, the [[MW:Extension:OggHandler|OggHandler extension]] allows a <code>|noicon</code> parameter which removes the info button and only shows the play button.

 

You can find many ogg converters on the net to convert excisting audio tracks into eg. Ogg Vorbis. The Sims Wiki recommends [http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Audacity] but cannot offer any support for this program. Please remember that uploaded audio files, must be legal. Fair Use may apply, but the files are subject to restrictions, such as:

*Limited duration (30 secs MAX)
