Marcia was not a very good student, preferring to handghang around with friends to her homework. She also collected rare gemstones. She met another teen called [[Fanon:Charles Bordeaux|Charles Bordeaux]], and he became one of her many friends. However, he quickly became more than a friend and they went steady together. During this time, her mother grew old, and moved out in [[Barnacle Bay]], to her twin sister, the businesswoman [[Fanon:Vanda Dortheimer|Vanda Dortheimer]]. She then was all alone with her evil sister.
