Fines will occur if the player calls the police or the firefighter. Fines will always occur and take away §500. The player is also fined if they are spawned through [[TestingCheatsEnabled]].

(Post-Ambitions message box)]]In The Sims 3 Ambitions and The Sims 3 Deluxe, the player can be fined if the player detonates objects outside the Junkyard or the player's home. At first, this will result in a warning and then the next time you do this, will result in a fine. In Late Night and Outdoor Living (If Late Night is installed), the player may also be Publicly Disgraced. Unlike other fines, this fine does not automatically take away cash but adds to you bills.
