This applies to any template page that was originally created for use in an author's fanon that has not been used in over a year, such as a navbox that lists fanon characters in a story or family. The author(s) of the template should be notified at least one month in advance of the speedy deletion nomination.

This applies to any template that is created to duplicate the functions of an existing template, but is of lower quality or has less functionality than existing alternatives. This includes poorly migrated infoboxes to the [[Help:Portable Infobox|Portable Infobox]] markup, or unnecessary duplications of the {{tl|Infobox Sim}} template.
