Line 44:
Little to nothing is known of Professor Van Hellsings childhood or even his family since most of the information was erased by Abraham himself probably in an attempt to protect his family members in his homeland from the vampires he hunted in secret.

It is known however that he had a wife and a son before defeating Dracula and moving to Moonlight Falls. His son was killed by a vampire in the Netherlands and after this traumatic event his wife was declared clinically insane. He was a devout christian so even when his wife was no longer the woman he married he refused to divorce her until eventually death came to claim her.

After that the events that can be read in Bram Stocker's book "Dracula" take place he finds himself in the possession of a powerful vampire and with the added difficulty of trying to remake his life again in a new city he knows little to nothing about.
Many challenges faced him as he had to start from scratch in his medical career and found himself sharing a bunk bed with a killer sleeping on the top bunk. Despite the troubled beginnings he quickly gains the respect of the citizens and rises to become a renowned surgeon. With the help of Dracula, who he now nicknamed Alucard, to try and conceal his identity from the general population who had most likely heard of Dracula by now.

Despite is advanced age he eventually found himself in the need to find a wife and have a child. Even thou his relationship with the vampire had become much better than before he knew the vampire lacked a moral compass to guide his life and knew that, unless it was contained, he would eventually return to his previous habits of mass murdering everything he wanted when he wanted. So after speaking with the members of the Round Table (the group connected to the mayor of the town that later began financing the experiments realized by the Professor) they agreed with the urgency and importance of his predicament and willingly offered Abraham a choice in whose daughter's or grandaughtergranddaughter's hand he wished to take. After much debate he eventually connected and married Tracy Blaise whom he had a son named Alexander Van Hellsing with.

His wife later demanded to divorce him saying the stress of living in a household with a murdering vampire always looming around the corner was too much for her and she couldn't take it any more. (Mostly it was because she was having a mid life crisis and, according to Alucard, she had her "interests" elsewhere).

Heartbroken and now old enough to be considered an elder he found he had no strength to bring up his son by himself and so decided to send him to the best boarding school he could afford, BalliolSmuggsworth CollegePrep School where he spentbelieved his entiresoon childhoodwould andbe teenwell years.taken care of.

He spent his last days accompanied by Alucard in the Estate and later died of natural causes at the age of 73.

However, do to a promise he made to Alucard that he would wait for him to die before moving on himself he asked Death to allow him to visit the family from time to time to see how everything was doing. And since that day his ghost can be seen walking around the house and interacting with people from time to time. It's a rare sight indeed, but still very appreciated by those whom the kind old man visits.
