But what if you ask a different user directly if you can use their fanon Sim for a fanon battle and they say yes. :I didn't even know that was what the list of volunteers was about. I thought they were people who would run the battles. Sorry that I can't answer your question because I really have no idea how the battles are run. Maybe there will be other input.
:For what it's worth, I did notice this guideline on the [[The Sims Wiki:Fanon Battles/Nominations|nominations]] page. "<code>There is a small exception, as one can nominate one's own fanon without being listed as a volunteer if the nominator wishes to protect his/her other fanons.
