Sometime, after high school, she met a guy named Victor who was her age and had no where to stay, so she took him in. They actually fell in love and later got married and had children.
In 2000, her first granddaughter Nia was born. Victor and Carrie moved to their home to take care of her while Nia's parents worked. After Carrie caused two house fires while cooking (first mac and cheese, then waffles) she was no longer trusted with the stove.
