I also go to a family tree website and have Pleasantview's family tree, lol. I always give him the fortune aspiration. Following in his father's footsteps does suggest that he should aspire to knowledge. But he comes from a wealthy family and he seems to be the sort who'd want to continue the tradition. I use the Sim Modder to change his lifetime want to become mad scientist. I always make him get a job in the science career. Whenever he sees a ghost, I always briefly change his aspiration to knowledge so that he can get a positive memory from it.
I would have given him the knowledge aspiration as a sub aspiration. But I don't have the FreeTime expansion pack installed on my computer yet. Many players including myself have discovered that when Alexander grows into a teenager, it becomes clear that he uses the same face template as Goopy GilsCarbo, with customizations being almost zero. Many players even go as far as to say that he is secretly the son of Goopy.
However there is no way that he is Goopy's son. For one thing his NID indicates that he was created before Goopy. For another, the developers have never mentioned about the supposed secret family connection. To add to that, there are many Sims in the Sims series whose facial features do not directly resemble those of their parents. Yup, de-age Buster Clavell into a YA and then see if he looks anything like his parents or his son. Most premades were not made by mixing the parent's genetics.
