Separate pages for each aspiration[edit source]

Are we going to set up individual pages for each aspiration? If so, we have quite a few pages we'll need to rename and fix links to beforehand, as the aspiration names are in many cases repeats of older trait, skill, or aspiration names. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 16:55, June 13, 2014 (UTC)

I don't think so. Aspiration in this game is pretty much like lifetime wish and lifetime want. We never have individual page for each LTW. Nikel Talk Vote! 17:01, June 13, 2014 (UTC)
I've been playing around with The Sims 4 for a few days now, and it seems like aspirations are a way more complex than lifetime wants or wishes. They seem to come in four stages, with two or three goals to be met at each stage, and it seems like upon completion each one grants an additional, unique trait on top of the "generic" aspiration-type trait you get when you select one. Also, kids have "grow up" type aspirations, and in many ways they do more closely resemble The Sims 2 style aspirations, which always had their own pages. I'm not suggesting that we start up an individual page for every single sub-type (e.g. Nerd Brain, Computer Whiz and Renaissance Sim, all sub-types of Knowledge aspirations), but I think there's an argument there for perhaps starting up a page each for Knowledge, Family, Creativity, Nature, etc.? At any rate, the current page will need a lot of re-working to accommodate all the extra stages in each aspiration, children's aspirations, and so on as more information emerges. You're right. I've now seen how the aspiration works in the game. But first, this page needs to be improved, and then we can see if it needs to be separated or not. Nikel Talk Vote! 12:53, October 17, 2014 (UTC)
