The Sims 3: Late Night[edit source]

Since there's currently no information about whether the Downtown area in "Late Night" will have a graveyard, much less what (or who) would be in it, let's not write about it here until something definite is known. Dharden (talk) 21:36, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Is this the right name?[edit source]

I've noticed that all throughout The Sims 3 the game uses the term 'Graveyard and not Cemetery. I imagine that's what people will be searching for? I know there is a redirect already, but I think the page should be retitled to the official term as used in-game.

Most cemetaries in the game go by the name "Cemetery" so I think it'd be best to just stick to cemetery.

managing the dead

while working at the masoleum i have only been able to progress a career to level 3 " epitaph engraver " part of the job seems to be managing the dead. i have been able to pick up many of the headstones at varios times and place them inside the mosoleum with the manage the dead command . this opens a storage chamber to put the headstones in. you can engrave and later change a custom epitaph for each headstone. you dont need t work in the graveyard to do this.

its possible to take the headstones home. if placed outside they look like they did in the graveyard. if inside they turn into ashes urns. the ghost will come out each night between 11 pm and 5 am. usually between 12 and 5. they have communication interactions like any other sim and you can hold conversations with them untill 5 to 6 am when they go back into the jars or headstones.

many sims express hunger or sleepyness etc.

one ghost i had taken home after raiding the fridge each night climbs into bed with my sim. when i clicked on him it gave the interaction to snuggle or try for a baby.

Ghosts can Father or maybe Mother a baby sim.

the next night when the ghost Joseph appeared i flirted and seduced him. we went back to the bed and tried for a baby. that night my sim got pregnant. the next night she got the swollen pregnant belly and 2 nights after that she gave birth to a normal baby. i tried this again on an earlier save. i added the fertility treatment and she had twin girls. she seduced the ghost again the night after the twins were born just to continue the experiment and because she had a lifetime award bonus for having a boy. this time she gave birth to a boy. apparently the developers did not think of this. how does a ghost give the X chromosome so the mother can have a boy. girls would just be genetic clones of the mother.

i was hopeing for some ghoul babies. a vampire. ghost or demonic child of some type but so far it seems to be a normal baby. 2 weeks along in thier growth but still just normal babies.

power leveling charisma

while seducing the ghost i learned that each romantic interaction gave me a plus in my relationship but also quickly added up in the charisma skill levels. i went from level 3 to level 5 in 1 night talking romanticly whith a ghostt.

deathfish. a real money maker between midnight and 5 am every night you can catch deathfish in the graveyard pond using angelfish as bait. the higher quality the angelfish you use as bait the higher quality fish you get. you can catch 5 to 6 deathfish each night in the pond. each sells for between 500 and 1000 simolions depending on the qualioty and size of the fish. with fishing 10 i average about 5000 a night just on deathfish sales. the easiest fish to catch seems to be red herring which i use to fertilize my plants. i am also a level 10 farmer making perfect vegetables and meats yes i grow perfect steaks links and patties in my garden. i catch many perfect fish as well.

DeathFlower by the gate

there is a DeathFlower bye the graveyards front gate. when you harvest it with farming 7 skill you get 2 perfect Deathflowers. if you feed this to the omni plant behind the lab building or to omni plants you get seeds for from being a master chef you can make as many DeathFlowers as you wish. when you feed anything growable to the omni plant it gives you several in return the next morning after 5 am. once you plant the death flower it only blooms once then dies and it can only be harvested with a high enough farming skill. there was an opportunity quest to grow a DeathFlower for a person as a life insurance policy so i believe it may be usable to raise the dead. more experimentation will be required to test this.

Notice![edit source]

I have noticed whenever i resserect a ghost sim they have 0 lifetime hapiness like Enola Green for example! Xxgreenbunnyxx

Sims 2: Question about ghosts in cemeteries[edit source]

Ghosts in cemeteries? Sims 2[edit source]

I've read that many of a ghost's features are disabled in a cemetery but do ghosts even appear at all on a community lot made into a cemetery? When I've had Sims die on their home lot, it said their ghost would appear on the lot they died on when I moved their graves to the cemetery. I have many Sims in college who want to see a ghost but I haven't seen any ghosts after taking them to Gothier Green Lawns several nights in a row. It doesn't seem to make sense that no ghosts would appear in a cemetery. I mean do I have to resort to killing off innocent Sims on the college lot?? SmellyCats 18:17, March 19, 2011 (UTC)

Cemetery -> Graveyard[edit source]

I don't think any of the series has used the term "cemetery." I know it's just a synonym, but there are no official "cemetery" in The Sims and The Sims 2. In The Sims 3, they call it graveyard. Nikel Talk Vote! 05:45, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
