:::They can marry if you marry a son and a daughter before marrying the sons father and the girls mother. That's true. Once I had two Sims (one pre-made and one CAS) which I wanted to be adopted siblings, but I made them go steady instead. But eventually I decided that I didn't like the idea of two Sims being in love (who were supposed to be siblings through adoption) so I broke them up.

By this time their parents had gotten married, so the 'siblings' were not able to rekindle their romance. The interactions available to them were identical to those of biological siblings. I had to use an evil witch to erase their memories and make them forget about their past romance.
