:: I think I figured it out! I'm not positive, but I THINK if you get something from mining it doesn't count in your collecting. I'm running some tests and I'll post some more information once I figure it out completely. Kitty553 says: THE GAME!!! 19:36, July 19, 2011 (UTC)
:: EDIT: I WAS RIGHT! HOORAY FOR ME! You have to collect 10 different gems without using the miner, which would be the preferred way of getting them because 1.: you don't have to find them or wait for them to spawn, 2.: it's the only way to get fluorite, and 3.: you're always going to have one since you have to invent everything before you get the opportunity. It's a good thing doesn't have to be collected because it can only be aquired from the miner.
