CAS spouses

I have noticed that, in The Sims 2, a CAS Sim created as married/joined gets a +10 preference for the spouse's gender and -10 for the other gender. Does anyone know how this is handled in The Sims 3, and whether it applies to Sims created in boyfriend/girlfriend relationships? While I assume they'd also get a preference, since that would make sense, we are talking about EA. Dharden (talk) 16:01, December 14, 2013 (UTC)

 I have a comment on the topic of gender preference in The Sims 3, specifically. Which is where I first started noticing how the developers truly went above and beyond when adding the preference to the game. I had decided to have my male sim take part in a few romantic relationships throughout his life, all with the same gender as he was (which made him "gay" in retrospect). However, and I thought this was quite interesting, there was a time I made him browse profiles on the game's dating site. Even so, when it had loaded up the profiles onto my computer screen, the category that first popped up for mine and my sim's browsing was: males. I was surpised, due to the fact that the page containg the opposite gender in regard to my sim would normally appear first. Cool, right? 

 I just wanted to share this tidbit of information I've gathered, and comment on how The Sims franchise is truly a remarkable one. I also have one question, does anyone know if there is gender preference in The Sims 4, or if it might be coming out in an expansion pack??

Apparently, gender preference is in The Sims 4, since MTS has some mods intended for managing it. Beyond that, I have no idea. Dharden (talk) 04:32, August 9, 2016 (UTC)
