::On reflection, I think backfires are a game-balance issue. In ''Livin' Large'', Sims can get an effectively unlimited number of wishes (at one per day) for only §375, and can have as many lamps as they can afford. So, the general ineptness of the Genie balances that out. They can have an effectively unlimited number of wishes, if the player is willing to risk having the great bulk of them go wrong. In ''FreeTime'', since the Genie only allows three wishes and the lamp is a reward that is rarely received, the Genie can be much more competent, and wishes can usually work, without affecting game balance too much. :::That makes sense, because getting genie lamp is very rare... and getting backfires must be really upsetting (Though I prefer to keep the lamp if I had one). I think we just need to wish the genie over and over... until we experience something unprecedented. ==Showtime Genie==
Should we prevent the creation of ST Genie section until the actual game is released or people just feel it should exist somewhere in this page?
