I've always used the moveobjects cheat when placing items on the roof (Sofa and TV on the roof, anyone?), but the only reasons why I would see this happening is 1) A crappy EAxian oversight, or 2) A crappy EAxian method of getting people to use the [[ceiling]]s introduced in ''Apartment Life'' (and probably a method of convincing M&G w/o AL players to buy AL, since M&G has a plethora of issues if it's installed without AL).
