:That's true, but the game is far from consistent as to whether it treats a 3.1 or 3.9 as 3 or 4. Sometimes it ignores the decimal, sometimes it goes to the nearest integer, and sometimes it goes up 1. I'm not sure it matters too much for interests except for the range between 3.01 and 3.99, but I'm not 100% sure of how it goes. I think 3.01 - 3.49 is treated as 3, but am not sure about 3.5 - 3.99. Dharden (talk) 04:00, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

Unless further evidence turns up (which seems incredibly unlikely) I can only safely assume that the game simply ignores the decimal and goes to the nearest integer below it (3.9 to 3.0 - rather than 3.9 to 4.0). -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:05, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

Rounding interest points

Has anyone ever bothered finding out which way the interest points are rounded in The Sims 2? A lot of interest points, as seen in SimPE, are in decimals. But I have no idea whether 3.9 counts as 3 or 4, and whether 6.5 counts as 6 or 5. I find recent Sims with interest tables have their points rounded down to the floor, instead of the nearest integer. I want to make sure which is correct, since otherwise the information about interest points would be inaccurate to many, many Sims. Nikel Talk Vote! 09:59, January 14, 2014 (UTC)

In case you are still wondering, 6.9 will be shown as 6 in-game, even if it is much closer to 7. The game basically ignores all the decimals and shows just the numbers. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:03, July 17, 2014 (UTC)
